3D Movies - Wow! or Waste of Time?

THE INDEPENDENT reports (March 23, 2010) that many people come away from 3D movies complaining of eyestrain, headaches and a disappointing visual experience.

According to the EYECARE TRUST as many as 12% of people:
"has a visual impairment that means our brains are unable to correctly process the individual images that are transmitted to it via our left and right eyes. This leads to inconsistency in viewing the three spatial dimensions (height, width and depth) required to enjoy 3-D films in all their glory,"
but the answer may be "as simple as . . . some vision therapy."

your TV may be 3D-ready, but are YOU?

With the launch of broadcast 3D TV imminent, and starting with the football world cup, this could be a good time to check out your 3D potential and to take a few simple steps to ensure that you can enjoy 3D broadcasting and movies to the full extent, without discomfort or strain.

I'm PETER MANSFIELD. I have been a vision teacher for 25 years, and I have helped many students to overcome their eye co-ordination problems to achieve full, relaxed stereoscopic vision.

For a short period this summer, I am offering special workshops designed to concentrate the knowledge I have gained over the last 25 years so that in one day of tuition, most people with two healthy eyes can learn to see easily and clearly all kinds of 3D imaging.

Workshops are taking place initially in London and Sussex

I am open to giving further workshops anywhere in the world, if there is sufficient interest, so if you would like a workshop near where you live, know people who would be interested, and are willing to give a hand to get it organised, get in touch and let's make it happen.
